Leadership Forums

The Cities Today Leadership Forums were launched in 2015 to increase knowledge sharing and create new models of engagement between cities and other key stakeholders.

The invitation-only meetings, previously known as 20-20 Cities, include regional chapters with their own series of meetings on Urban Mobility, Digitalisation & Innovation, and Resource Efficiency. With a roundtable format for 20 city leaders (CIOs/CTOs, Deputy Mayors and Directors or Commissioners of Transportation) meeting every six months, the emphasis is on in-depth discussion to tackle what is and is not working in planning connected cities, what action points we can take forward to the next meeting, and what research needs to be commissioned and shared with the group.

The peer-to-peer organization of the content and the composition of the group allow for active, challenging discussions that help city leaders arrive with a series of issues and depart with solutions based on other city or partner experiences.
